    chlorine in the water....

I fill up gallon of tap water...let it sit out and then use it to fill up my water dishes. you can buy stuff that you add to your water to take out the chlorine.

I usually fill up about 3 gallons at once and just let them sit out. I do it for my Betta fish as well and my plants.

here in milwaukee we've had some pretty bad scares with our water...people hardly drink water out of the faucets here.

I think the general rule of thumb is, to be serious, give your snakes the same quality of water you drink. If the tap is okay for you, it's okay for them. If you always drink bottled or you let the water sit out for a while to declorinate (which is a great method), then do that.

We drink filtered water (using one of those tap filters), so that's how we fill the snakes water bowls as well as the cats water bowl. Everyone gets filtered. =)

I agree Cassandra, but the Bong water thing sounds interesting. But how do you tell if your snakes have glassy eyes ??????

when it sheds the eyepeices look bloodshot and outa focus oh and the snake seem to think that by pushing against the glass (plastic, tupperware, etc) for hours on end will somehow get him out (or is that reg. BP behavior, sometimes i can tell if they're high or hungry, or both...

Hey folks...let's lay off the drug references, ok? Let's not forget we have children who read and participate here. Talking about casual drug use as if it were no big deal is NOT the sort of impression we want to give.
