Best place to buy flex watt

I don't think that's the case. He and I were talking about t-stats a couple months ago and I asked him about Helix. If I remember correctly, he said that he no longer stocked them because there was no demand for them, but he could still get them. I know that his personal preference is the Herpstat, he feels it is a better unit than the Helix.

Folks, this thread was started asking about suppliers for flex watt so let's just give Sevo some options and leave it at that. Discussions about why a supplier does or does not supply a product is off-topic here as well as pointless since the particular supplier in question isn't contributing directly in this thread. All you are doing is making guesses and speaking for someone else. Let's get back on topic please. :)

As far as whether or not there is a demand for this product or another Erin. I would ask you to check your facts on industry usage before making broad statements like that.

You're right Joanna, I did get off topic, and I apologize. My comment about Helix's demand was solely concerning MG Reptiles, not the industry as a whole, sorry if it was taken that way.

Flexwatt from reptile basics, told him I was in a rush:
First Experience: Dropped off at shipper 30 mins after I placed my order
Second Experience: Dropped off at shipper 1 hour after I placed my order

Received both within 2-3 days

1) Do i need the night drop cord? Do you guys use the night drop feature?

2) how about the thermostate from big apple it is called the Herp Power Proportional Thermostats .. anyone have any luck with these.

Just trying to get the best one out there.

You only need the night drop if you're planning on breeding, but even then you can wait until you start to breed and get it then. Who knows, you may need another thermostat by that time and they are coming out with new models with the night drop built in.

As far as the Big Apple stat, I haven't heard too much about them. However, I haven't had the best experience dealing with Big Apple, so I doubt if I would purchase anything from them again.

i've used homemade stats,rancos,johnsons controls,bah-1000, a few other cheap stats, herpstat and helix dbs-1000. my vote is for helix dbs-1000 hands down! it is proportional,has been around for years(time tested) and is used in the majority of breeding facilities. for ball pythons a rack setup with a proportional stat is the way to go, they do very well in racks and stable temps. i would buy my stats from www.thebeanfarm.com or rich at reptile basics www.reptilebasics.com you can also find them local reptile shows. i don't use a night drop right now, only a few stats to drop. if i had alot of stats to drop i would do the night drop. or if you are away alot during the week or season i would buy a night drop. i like to stay hands on and not get lazy so i force myself to drop the temps manually.
