    thanks

So long as you've gotten rid of ALL the mites you possibly can by giving the snake a soak and by cleaning out the cage, it will be ok to wait a few days for your PAM to arrive. If it takes longer than that, you may end up having to soak and clean again, as more mites will be hatching. The longer it takes to get it done, the more mites you will have to deal with...and the higher the risk of them spreading to other herps if you have them.

And yes, mites are specifically detrimental to the health of your snake. If left untreated, they can cause anemia.

my main concern (when i got my hog island boa who came with mites) was how long had he been living with them?

it took me a couple of weeks to use the P.A.M. on my boa as once it came, he was in shed (just my luck) so i needed to wait for him to finish shedding and then give him a couple of days before using it.

it REALLY is so much simpler than any other method of treatment... and ifyour time is valuable (and your snakes) then every penny you spend on P.A.M. is worth it!
