Re: New Bunnah! (not dial up friendly!)
You have utterly piqued my curiosity: How hard is it to train a rabbit to use a litter box?

Re: New Bunnah! (not dial up friendly!)
Not very! They're very clean animals, really. Karen says they're her quiet litter trained puppy dogs... that clean themselves like cats. /(^v^)\ We'll see how Unut does at potty training, but they usually pick a corner in their cage and you just put the litter box there. Daphne established which corner is the litter box corner, and Bowie (and hopefully Unut!) merely follow suit. There will sometimes be stray "terratory" poops, but they're easy to clean up and usually stops after they're established in a new cage/or with new bunnies.
Once they got used to that, I set up an extra litter box in the livingroom by the TV that they sometimes use too, but usually Daphne uses it as a lounging bed instead, lol! I need to change the litter box more often than the cat box, course there's more of them and Bowie drinks a *lot* of water with his extra high body temp.
Here's the best site on rabbit litter training, and other houserabbit goodies. I'd have been lost without this site! http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/litter.html

If you get a mini lop, you should name it Bun-Bun :P I dunno if you've ever read sluggy freelance...although I havn't read the comic in quite some time.

Oh she's a cutie! Now educate me please, what exactly does "hottot" mean? Love her eyes! Congrats on the new furry family member.

Nah, Jamie, it's Cleo's job to get jealous, and it's usually of Gomez and the bunnies! lol, Gomez was cruising all over my hands and the keyboard when I was typing up that post.
Oooh no, I'm not naming a lop Bun-bun, that's just asking for trouble, lol! :colbert: I've managed to avoid naming pets after my favorite villains too, but when the snake collection gets big enough... no promises
Hotot is a particular breed, just like there's breeds of cats and dogs. Hotots are the white rabbit breed with black eyeliner eyes, and they tend to have a particular face/body type too. My other two are dutch mixes (at least I think Daphne is a dutch mix, she's harder to tell, by her face shape I'd guess there's some dwarf in her too) and Unut is a hotot mix which is to say... a mutt with obviously hotot ancestry. Not sure why they call that breed hotots, but I guess it's better than being called a "labradoodle"? ;)
There's lots of rabbit breeds; English lop, angora, lionhead, hotot, dutch, Flemish giant, chinchilla (they have fur that looks like a chinchilla!), french lop, havanna, himilayan, mini rex, netherland dwarf, blah, blah, blah... Hotots are my fave, so Unut was a very lucky find! Doesn't matter to me that she's not a "pure" hotot, my bunnies are pets and not show quality anywho.
You and me both, Ginevive!
