The authors of the above paper speculate that the cone vitamin A based pigment that absorbs with a max absorbance at 360nm (well into the UV range)...could protect against UV light...I dont see why albino ball pythons wouldnt have this pigment......
Could other albinos--lavenders or carmels have vision problems? I dont think so---- if regular T - albinos have no vision problems I wouldnt expect the other to have any ethier....
It is really hard to know without doing an in depth study stuch as one referenced above......An albino may in fact have some kind of perception difficulties....however, all the other data gathered by their other senses may more then suffice for them to catch their prey.....Its like how blind people use rely heavy on their other senses
Think Marvel's Daredevil.....that might be a great name for an albino!
PS>In the above paper....there are some references on how Retics use vision to catch their prey....Eventually I'll try to get them

As far as Albinism affecting vision in BP....I am starting to believe it doesnt have much of an effect...I dont know this for sure but from what I have been reading Albinism in humans (see
http://www.knowlton.clara.net/family/Albinism/sight.htm) for the most part affects how much detail a human can see in a picture.....and WT BPs can see much detail to begin with
Quoting myself....or correcting my typos I should say....SHOULD READ...WT BPS CANT see much detail!
Sorry wrote that late last night
