Re: my p. metallica moulted!!!!!!
Sorry, had a bit of a hietus due to a local internet outage.
I really like my king baboon..unfournately they grow slower than molasses.
A cobalt blue is a halpolema lividium.
If you want an ill tempted terristral, get a N. chromatus. They're rather cheap, since an single eggsack can produce over 1000.
I generally pick up my stuff from Botar, as far as online dealers go....I don't have to pay shipping since he comes to the swap.
As for the screaming, I dunno. I still have not had a tarantula stridulate at me, acutally.
Smulkin, you need to add a horned baboon to your collection :)
Re: my p. metallica moulted!!!!!!
Yeah, I was going to suggest a horned baboon as well.
Re: my p. metallica moulted!!!!!!
I didnt want to start a whole new thread and draw undue attention - but I added a new avatar that might appeal to the invert-inclined. A final contribution from mr psycho longipedum ;)
My parahybana is a maybe 4" now after 14 months - slow grower and at thsi stage fairly unremarkable looking but wow that lil tucker is FAST (how fast i discovered during a cage transfer)

Re: my p. metallica moulted!!!!!!
Yes, I have ordered from Botar. His reputation is well deserved. He is a very good business man, he sells fairly priced, attractive, healthy spiders. I have 22 now and about half of them I have gotten from him. I would encourage anyone to buy from him and will do so again in the future I'm sure.
By the way, congrats on the moult!!!!!! That is wonderful!!!!! :carrot: :carrot: :carrot:
I'm envious!!
Re: my p. metallica moulted!!!!!!
We need pictures!
Maybe in 2 or 3 years, I'll finally give in and get the P. metallica.
