Great suggestions! It's funny how these things kind of take on a life of their own. Originally I just had the Medusa drawn, started coloring her, and did the background completely in CG. I intended a sort of rain bringer sort of vibe, like the Nagini, because I'm so sick of living in the desert and really craving the rain and the ocean. But then the moon fell into place, and the ship, and it has much more of a protective sea goddess feel to me now. Like she's using the moon as a lighthouse for the ship in the storm. I want the title to reflect that somehow... "Nereid's Beacon"? "Guiding Light"? Still not sure... but something along those lines... hmm...

I admit, I do like the name Tempest for the Medusa herself though ;) And I'm tucking the "Beauty in Blue" idea away for a future project, I like that. And I'm sure this won't be the last Blue Beauty inspired Gorgon. Blood Python and Cali King (NO idea what color morph yet..) are up next.
