Except in cases of extreme stuck-on sheds....the very best way you can help your snake is to just leave it alone. So long as the humidity is up, you've done all you can do. Anything else is likely to just cause undue stress.

We actually haven't done anything with the skin, it is sitting on top of one of my tarantula tanks.
We mostly kept his humidity up and left him alone, he got a little defensive. I will have Matthias (my husband) post picutes of the skin of of Dax now that he is all pretty with new skin. Good luck with your shed!!!!!

A vet was not a problem, I have a friend who is an exotic vet and I already knew has delt with many snakes in the past.
We never looked at him as being a problem to be solved. Just a new baby that would need some time to settle in.
People that have problems with BP's could be setting themselves up for failure. If you believe you will have problems, you most likely will.
That's an excellent point Mina! :)

Hello!!! It's because we speak parseltongue and are..."at one with our snakes.." ...heh heh...And I think y'all are right....BPs are one of the easiest snakes to care for...it's just that you have to take a cup from the fountain of knowlege. It never ceases to amaze me when people are shocked at how much I can tell them/know about snakes. I simply say,"It's common knowledge...you can know just as much as i do with a little effort!" But, like y'all said, most people skip that part.....:imslow:

Congrats! May it be the first of many more perfect sheds!
