Awwwwww mannnn! I have never been afraid of mice...always liked the little boogers (so long as I don't have to keep them!)....but that image gave even me chills and willies! You should write ideas for Fear Factor. (Is that show even still on the air? LOL)

Dont go with the cheapest. You will get nasty rodents. I love Big Cheese and also American Rodent Supply. Both will ship to you via Greyhound to your nearest terminal for around $20-$25 and ARS will ship 2nd day UPS as well and that could be even less.

If memory serves me, in order of most expensive to least expensive its:

    The Mouse Factory
    ARS
    Big Cheese
Rodent Pro (I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot hunk of cheese)

I'm thinking about switching to f/t , but don't like the Idea of having to defrost . What's the best way to defrost them?

I throw them in a bowl in the sink and run hot water over them.

I don't have first hand experience with defrosting f/t's but Sheree (Medusa's Owl) has some funky little defroster contraption that seems pretty cool...anyone have a link to that?

Ive ordered from the mouse factory before and they are such wonderful people to work with. I checked around a few other feeder companys when I was looking for bulk rodent and the mouse factory seemed to be the cheapest on the rodents and cheapest on shipping. The rats/mice/everything came VERY WELL packaged. I would order again from them anytime.

    American Rodent Supply for me.

Thawing process: I usually put them in their own separate baggies, and let them sit out for a few hours to get them good and de-frozen. Then I run hot water over them to warm them up a bit for the snakes. Haven't had a refusal yet. ;)
