Re: How to setup the Flexwatt on my rack?
I think maybe the 4" flexwatt would be good for me. Do you know of any good places to order it from or just good places in general to order the 3" flexwatt and a thermostat?
Re: How to setup the Flexwatt on my rack?
I say go for the 4" . Who couldn't use an extra inch? :)

Re: How to setup the Flexwatt on my rack?
by the drawing that looks like it will be a very wide rack! wide racks tend to bow alot. i would make one that could do the 12&27 qt tubs and then a seperate one for the 41 qt. tubs. run the belly heat a few inches from the back wall. 3 in will do fine. you can order flexwat here

sorry that drawing i put up was an old one... those tubs arent even all the same height :)
Re: How to setup the Flexwatt on my rack?
Great...now I'm confused again....
It says the 3" flexwatt is 10 watts per foot, and the 4" is 8 watts per foot. Whats the deal? Wouldn't this make it put off less heat? I would expect it to be the other way around. Should I still go with the 4"?
Sorry for being so ignorant with all of this...

Hehe...you most certainly do not need to apologize. Your questions get answered for LOTS of people! :D
Re: How to setup the Flexwatt on my rack?
either 3 or 4" will work. the 3" is more common and is used in more racks. used with a thermostat either will heat just fine. the choice is yours.
