My good friend worked for petco for a year, but moved over to working for VetCo last year . They only ever have farmed BPs, and they never treat them when they come in. If they get sick they will sometimes treat them if they look bad enough. Good call on taking yours to the vet!

If you are interested in doing a little diagnosing and treating parasites yourself, there is a great book called Understanding Reptile Parasites: A Basic Manual for Herpetoculturists and Veterinarians by Roger Klingenberg that explains things very well. It is cheap, and great resource. I hope Kahn's treatment goes well.

Great book and a good recommendation Evan. Get that book, pick up a microscope and lets the pooing begin!

Well we attempted to feed Khan this Sunday like always. We forced him out of his hide around 9 pm and I suppose that really upset him. He showed no interest in eating. The food was very jumpy and active and he seemed as if it was to much work so he didnt eat.

Since he didnt eat we are not going to take him in for his yummy parasite treatment. We will attempt another feed this tomorrow in the hopes he will go for it.

BUT! on a good note Lola ate for the first time since we bought her.

I would not skip his treatment for the parasites. Since it did take 3 weeks from the initial fecal to get in touch w/ you, I would think the parasite load has grown, may be the reason he is not eating.

kinda what I was thinking. I mean it makes sense to treat it asap but the vet said we should do the treatment after he eats (about 2 days) closer to just after he eats rather than closer to when he sould be eating. I better call.
