The newest excuse of the seller is that he did not ship them that way, someone must have changed the packaging and he's going to check it out.

I think, instead of coming up with excuse's he would simply refund the money for the two dead snakes. Reputable breeders and sellers would not haggle over this problem, but correct it ASAP.

if he wanted to keep you as a customer he would have insured the snakes safe transport. Ditch this weiner! If you dont get your money back tell him you'll spread the word on this "wonderful care and shipment arrangments" all over the place. childish? maybe, but it'll get him thinking.
And dont completely exclude the box full of poop idea either!

with this, and the excuses, this probably means that he isn't gonna give a toot if you tell BOI, ball-pythons.net, or his mother. He's out of the business, so why does he need the customer anymore?
My heart is broken for these little guys- with just a little care they could have avoided this horrible end. I'll just never understand people like this.
I'm sorry for all you've gone through and karma will hit this guy right where it counts.

Sorry to hear about this, it is sad when animals die in transit just to save a buck or just plain laziness! A reputable breeder would not ship snakes in that packaging in the 1st place.

That said, any breeder or seller willing to correct his/her mistake would send 1000 apologies as well as a check reimbursing you 100% of the cost of the dead animals or replacements as well as another 1000 apologies!

Who is he? It's not fair to others if they are buying from him and your not saying who it is.. (Red's collection) Is that the guy? Simply Red??

There is certainly nothing against our TOS for you to name the person you did business with. (Not that I know of, anyhow.) So feel free to share, if you choose to do so.

Didn't you say you bought these snakes because he is going out of business? If that is the case, then threats about BOI and such aren't exactly meaningful anyhow. Really, not much you can do unless it is worth the effort for you to sue in small-claims court for the price you paid for the dead snakes, plus vet bills for the survivors.

I didn't want to be out of line and the rules and go against the regs of this forum. I do have it posted on the lizard corral forum along with his emails that I have been receiving.

The person I was dealing with was: Phil Hernandez; Pamona, CA
