Holy crap....out of nowhere too! Those even candled by the book! Maybe it was the ball gods setting the score even for that huge clutch that dropped last week...keep your chin up- you're going about all this better and wiser than anyone else out there starting up IMHO....you'll get what is deserved, don't worry!

Vaughn, I think we all deal with sort of heartache at least a million times working with these animals.

I'm glad your lucky 13 is still doing well. Hope to hang out some night with you and talk snake. ^_^

Y'know you can call me if you need me.

    Sorry to about your loss!

I feel your pain, I recently lost a litter of boas that would've been Sunglows, Albinos, Hypos Het Albinos and Het Albinos. She dropped a total of 18 (12 slugs, 5 Albino stillborns and 1 Het that died shortly after). I also posted pics of my experience to show that not all breeding is successful and this happens to all of us.

    There is always next year!

Vaughn, thanks for sharing. Its all a part of the process and what anyone who gets into breeding will have to deal with.

Oh alright, I thought it was the other 5 egg clutch that went bad. Were those eggs from the pastel or albino project?

Sorry to see this clutch didn't go well Vaughn but thank you for sharing the experience and the pics (thanks also to Gerry for doing the same with her boa). It can't be easy to deal with a lost clutch but it is something every one of us has to think about and be ready to face at some point.

Hopefully things will do much better with the other snakes Vaughn. Big hugs!
