Oh there's also the written in stone rule....
If you lose all your "baby weight", buy a new wardrobe, plan a trip months in advance (like Daytona) and give away every piece of baby furniture you own because you "are done having babies"....you will be waddling within months! LOL
Re: Things being a parent taught me...
:O Uh oh. Ummmm. Only have a little more to lose. Already had to buy new clothes, and we're planning on going to Hawaii next year. Given away almost all baby toys, clothes, and furniture. :O

Can do! :gj: He'll just chalk it up to my weirdness at this point, but if I tell him about your post I may not be able to get a hug from him.
Re: Things being a parent taught me...
My FD turned 13 in January so I still have a wee way to go, but she does do the attitude thing every once in a while. I just try to remember to cut her some slack because her father is a control freak who calls her fat all the time, and the divorce hit her pretty hard.
I love her dearly and just want her to be happy and healthy. When it comes time for her to date is going to be a battle, because Daddy Dearest is saying 15, and I tell her not until 16 at the earliest. She's not mature enough for something that "heavy" so I'm just teaching her, coaching her and hoping for the best.
Luckily she loves snakes just as much as I do and we do LOTS of things together. I've also made a deal with her about her grades and boys. ;) So if she wants that trip to "wherever" she'll have to behave. (Maybe I'll sneak a "snakey" deal into there as incentive, too. :D :halohorn: )
