    The best thing is to put the CGD in, turn out the lights and just leave him alone. I've only had a couple geckos eat right away after shipping, so he'll be fine for now. Who reccomended the calcium syrup, I've never heard of anybody using that for cresteds. Unless its the stuff a vet might give a female who suddenly calcium crashes. I sometimes throw a little powdered calcium in the CGD just to make sure they get enough.

    i don't feed newly arrived geckos at all for the first 2-4 days after they arrive. i just make sure that they get plenty of fresh water via misting and/or a shallow dish in case they are slightly dehydrated from shipping. stick with the cgd and lightly dusting insects you shouldn't need the extra calcium at all.

    CGD has calc. in it already, oh well i'll see how everything goes over the weekend i put it all in a lid so i can see if there's little foot prints in it or not :D

    For my little guys I use the tops of prescription pill bottles. Fill the inner part and you can tell pretty easy if they've been eating. I dont like to use larger cups or dishes until Im positive they're eating well.
