I'd like to go as well. We will see how the finances look after my sister's wedding in the Dominican and Daytona in August.

I'm actually planning on going to the Shedd for my birthday (June 8) I wonder if the lizards will still be there.

I know they usually have a big green anaconda there too.

I need time to experience my very first authentic Chicago deep dish pizza LOL.

You are probably right about the hours. You haven't had a real deep dish pizza? OMG!!!! How have you made it? I will HAVE to fix that!! I think either some Lou Malnati's or some Gino's East will do the trick, oh this will be fun!!! A real pizza virgin!!!!!!!

From what I've been told if you phone the Tinley Park Holiday Inn and Convention Center and mention you are coming for the "Reptile Conference" you will receive a special rate of $99.00 a night (I assume this would be for a basic one double bed room). I haven't confirmed this yet but will do so in the next week or so.

Also, if you know for a fact that you're going & haven't already booked your rooms @ the Holiday Inn, DO IT NOW!!! It fills up fast, and I hear that drunken taxi rides to other hotels at 3 AM aren't that fun. ;)

My advice is, get your room NOW for this event. The side of town the show is on, is less desirable at night especially. IMO, after living all over the Chicago area, that is one area, I dont want to be traveling late at night in. I would rather have everything I need/want in one place after dark rolls in.
