    I use a little fuji s3000 for now. I'm thinking of getting the Nikon D50 or D70 soon..

    I don't know if you have seen any of my pics,I have a Nikon coolpix 7600...It was $350.00. Nikon was reccommended to me by a friend who goes to Costa Rica on grants and stuff because he has discovered some new species of poison dart frog, and they grant him to go to Costa Rica to take photos. I know their are less expensive models out there, but I love this one. It has 7 megapixels, and a macrocloseup feature, as well as others. Just a little tip though, If you want good clear pics, make sure you get one with optical zoom. It makes a huge difference in photo quality.

    Props to you 4th on the optical zoom comment. Way too many people get caught up in megapixels.

    Yep.. digital zoom is practically useless unless you like pixellated pictures.

    Megapixels are important too.. higher resolution = more detail. However, for web use, megapixels are of lesser importance.
