    totally off topic, but i once had a goldfish that lived for 7 or 8 years as a kid. I won him at some carnival or something, you know, the kind that usually don't last to the next morning. I swear my mom tried to off it a couple of times, but the heartly little thing lived a looooong life.

    I'd swear you just met my ex-husband!

    anyway, do any of you have any advice on how to find a snake swap or similar in my area? I've googled but cant seem to find anything even remotely close to Minneapolis. Any suggestions?

    Goldfish are great pets. My Dad has two kinds of pets: goldfish and cats. Has a huuuuuge tank in the living (I don't know gallon sizes, but it's like 4' long and 18" high?) full of his "in-door" goldfish and then has a waterfall/pond outside for this "outdoor" goldfish. Man is obsessed, hehe. =)
