Way cool Jamie! I ran across those racks awhile ago and wondered how those cup holders would work out. Seems they're in the way of where the cool side hide should be.

Good to see you're posting a solid review! I came across Brian's racks months ago, but I just don't have the room, $$, or the right kind of setup...which has basically stopped me from buying one of them. :P

Let us know how it goes :)

And Brian's a great guy, I buy all my frozen feeders from him.

Oh looks great Jamie! Mike and I are definitely leaning towards ARS and the same rack you've just bought (though we may go a few levels at a time). For those members that plan to attend NARBC in Chicago this October, from what I understand ARS is a vendor there this year. Looking forward to your continuing review of these new racks on the market over the coming weeks/months. Sounds like you got wonderful customer service and the shipping costs for a racks of that size seem very reasonable.

What about the humidity in each of the tubs? How do U set up the hygrometer for in the tubs, but still be able to view it w/o opening it up to see?

Sorry to be sort of slow, but one of the ways I envision is an Accu-Rite IN the tub, but maybe the tub cut and the thermometer/hygro. sealed to the front of the tub so U can see the readings on the face........I KNOW there's easier methods, but how to keep the accuracy if you're opening the tub all the time to monitor it?

    Thanks!

For my purposes, I don't worry too much about the cool side. My room stays at 82 degrees and as long as my hot spot is 92-94, I know my cool side will be where I need it to be. As far as humidity, I got by the overall humidity in the room. As long as I can get that to where I need it to be, then I know it will be fine in the tubs. I have never kept the accurite inside a tub in a rack configuration. Its just not practical. It is impossible to see, and gets knocked over or tangled up with the snake. Now if you use a glass tank, its much easier. Probe on the hot side and the entire unit on the cool side. Hope this made some sense, its still early! :)

For me, I don't put a cool side hide in a rack setup. Its pretty dark in the room and with semi-clear tubs, there just isnt a huge need. In my old racks, very few of my snakes even use hides at all...

However, they do have them without the cup holders so you could just use a PVC coupler and be done with it.

He is a super guy. I think I'm going to start buying my feeders from him as well. I love Big Cheese but if he can ship my feeders via Greyhound for $23, that is the best price out there.
