Updates on rat and mouse room!!

Question for Bryan... could you compress the shelves closer together and get more shelves per vertical space? Still would be 4 across but maybe 6-7 up?
I was wondering if there was a reason behind the large amount of space between shelves. I wish I could build some for me, no time.. whichis why I buy Bill's. LOL. Okay so I am lazy.
I think that the idea of moving a preggo into a small thing to be by herself with the litter sounds like a really good idea. Haven't really thought of that. I bet the litters grow faster too.

Wolfy Yes they could easily be compressed I left close to 4" in between tubs and shelves due to the mice smell. They produce tons of urine ... which will turn to ammonia, especially in tight spaces. The 4" is a bit excessive ... it could be trimmed to to 2-2.5 inches and still allow plenty of airflow. Also if the rack was about 5" wider it would hold 5 across instead of 4. The current dimensions are 13.5"d X 41.5"w X 48"T.

My math error was that I allowed for 2" spacing between tubs but actually made only 1.5". On the first and last "rails" I allowed for 1" of spacing but only made 3/4". I also lost about 1/4" per tub because i neglected to realize that the lip would be riding on the rail ... which actually made the tub thinner.
