I usually leave them together for roughly 3-4 months, starting the end of Nov., But usually more like three.

you do know you dont have to leave them together like that right? one-two days here one-two days there, Feed once in awhile etc. You leave them together that long they may get bored with each other LOL!

basuca, they are leucistic Texas rat snakes. They are an awesome snake to keep too...mine are great! JAS, i know....kinda like an old married couple right?? I never had a problem before though.....next year I will be doing the rotation thing for the first time though, as my best male passed away in Dec, and one of his beautiful sons will be "continuing the legacy" with all of my girls.

Cyrax :( :tears: had been the father of all my previous clutches, as he was a beautiful high gold and was also my fav. snake of all, as he was kinda special to me since he was the first snake I ever got. I had him in to breed with a different female at the time, and I almost lost them both in a "freak accident", but it was him i had to bury. The female fully recovered, but I don't beleive she will give any eggs this year, as they were not together long before the "incident", and she has actually lost weight since that time.Next year will be different though......

Wow, your tanks are completely awesome! I seriously think you should go into business designing custom tanks! I saw a book once with all sorts of designer fish tank ideas (lightbulbs, etc. used in the decor) but your stuff beats the pants off what was in there!

What wonderfully interesting environments! The one for the rat snakes is my fav! Have the ratsnakes ever bred for you (or are they too young yet for it). They are simply gorgeous looking.
