Re: new snake owner -- new to site
Glad we could be of help to you. I'm sorry that some online sites can be so unwelcoming to newcomers but we do strive here to remember we were all new once and, new or not, we are all just as capable of mistakes and mis-steps. Also we all have our own ways to care for our snakes so what works for me and Mike might not be workable for you in some way or other. As long as the snake is happy, healthy and you are a happy, confident owner...it's all good.
Fuzzie mice or fuzzie rats? Sorry wasn't quite sure which you were told to offer by the pet store.
Re: new snake owner -- new to site
Oh forgot to mention....check out our Top Downloads (on far left of main screen). There is a Snake Measuring software there that's pretty good. Free to download, easy to use. I generally take three pics....then average out the results as they can vary if your camera angle is a bit off.
Re: new snake owner -- new to site
I thought I'd add one suggestion. A trip to a qualified vet. It's always a good idea to have a thorough checkup and a fecal performed. You can also have them determine the sex as well. ;) Internal parasites are nasty little boogers, and a clean bill of health is always a big relief.
Welcome to the site. The search feature is a great tool too, but don't hesitate to ask more questions. :D
