    Not sure what you are using to measure temps and humidity but if it's those stick on analog jobs from the pet store they truly are not trustworthy or accurate.

    A lot of us use these. Acu-Rites from WalMart (around $12.00 plus a AAA battery). Lowe's and Home Depot also sell a similar product under a different brand name. Usually found in the outdoor thermometer section or in gardening.

    Once you get your temps and humidity settled into the proper ranges and that extra hide in there, just let your new snake settle in for a week or two. No handling, no attempts to feed, just change the water and watch for any indication of mite or ticks. This settling in time is invaluable to help your little ball python accept it's new home and it will be more likely to accept feeding and handling by you. Never rush a snake...they just don't put up with it well. They will teach you patience LOL.

    They are also very shy, nocturnal snakes so don't be surprised if you don't see it out of it's hides much.
