Re: Herbie - New Corn Pics
shelby, how big can a corn be and still be popped safely?
lars, isn't that a creamsicle?

as some creams have less white than others?
Re: Herbie - New Corn Pics
Yes, he might be. I am researching him. Is creamsicle a type of albino trait? Corns have so many morphs, it's hard to figure them out. He does have white around his "saddles" (best word I could think of).
Re: Herbie - New Corn Pics
creamsicles are a cross between two different snakes... can't remember off the top of my head and i need to go feed my tarantulas right now... i'll post later if no one else fills you in ;)
Re: Herbie - New Corn Pics
Creamsicles are cornsnake x emory's ratsnake (Pantherophis guttatus x Pantherophis emoryi) I think it is.

Lars have a look at this site....my fav for corn colors and patterns....in some ways your Amelanistic (albino) corn is to my eye a bit closer to a Sunglow (just a selectively bred Amelanistic really) but I don't think it's a Creamsicle. I'm not a corn breeder though nor do I own one but I've always admired thier lovely colors and patterns so have a few links put away for someday.

Re: Herbie - New Corn Pics
I am really confused as to what Herbie is now.
Re: Herbie - New Corn Pics
He looks like a regular old albino corn to me. Sunglows are typically brighter, and do not have the white around the saddles (minimal). Creamsicles are indeed a hybrid.
Recycling Goddess - a corn can be safely popped at any age, it's just not as easy when they're older! I've popped my 4.5' california kingsnake.
Re: Herbie - New Corn Pics
that's what i thought... i'll let the person who told me otherwise, know!
Re: Herbie - New Corn Pics
Beautiful corn, I have one kind of like it, my one is almost 4 feet now.
