    right now I use sand (not sure what kind) which came with the tank/leo. I'm considering either carpet or calci-sand. Any suggestions?

    Edit: just read the calci-sand thread and I assume it is not a good idea...neither is carpet, I guess...

    yeah i know. not much out there that is safe AND looks good for all ages of geckos. but safety always comes first.

    In my ever search for more attractive substrates, how about unbleached paper towels? I've seen them at Trader Joe's and they are a natural taupey-sand color...less "blaring" than white. =)
