    I asked in a chat and they told me that with bottled water the really good filters will take ouit the micro scopic nutrients that the ball needs in the water. just my 2 cents

    They may have been talking about distilled water vs bottled water Andre but I'm not sure (never used either). That link I posted before addresses the issues of both distilled and various qualities of bottled water.

    Personally I started filtering my own water for my saltwater tank with my reverse osmosis dionization filter (RO-DI for short LOL) The tap water goes through five different stages to remove micro sediments, heavy metals, etc... I have so much freshwater left over so I started using it for my herps for their drinking water, soaking water and to mist the cage. No water spots here on the glass! :)

    I'm not sure if their are pros or cons against using RO water vs. tap...but thus far I haven't had any problems.
