I think you can see a picture of that bite, seen it floating around the internet. Yeah, looked pretty darn owie...

Everytime I hear "snake bites" now, I think of a clip Rick and I saw of that nutty Australia guy, Steve the Croc Hunter. He was removing a smallish retic (I believe), from underneath the elevated floor of a house. Had the snake out and was just holding it. Poor thing was NOT happy and kept biting Steve over and over again on his arms, blood dripping, as he was prattling away about how the snake was biting him. Dude, the snake would like to be released now!

LOL Cass and was Steve saying "oh what a pretty sheila you are!" the whole dang time! That guy is nuts and the most hyper human being I've ever seen...watching him on an interview on TV exhausts me totally! I'm just so tempted to use my best mom voice, frown and say "Steven! Sit still for heaven's sakes! Do we have ants in our pants!" LOL

Course in his case....he probably does.

Yeah, he's loony. Rick and I have actually really enjoyed watching clips and videos done by Austin Stevens. There's a couple of his clips over on the Animal Planet website; the one with him and the gila monster is so cool. =)

Yipes! Yeah, good thing that A) you saw where he went and B) like you said, the chair fit in the cage.

I was holding Cleo a while back when she found an opening in the back of my chair. Luckily, we were able to get her out before she got too far in (just got her head in). Sneaky little buggers...

Both my snakes have managed to wiggle themselves inside the sofa - amazing how their bodies can get into such small cracks - thought I was going to pull my own hand off last time.

I haven't been bitten (yet) - only by my parrot and that hurts a lot - little ****** hangs on forever digging deeper and won't let go! The one I'm dreading a bite from is my daughter's Sav Monitor ... :worry:

I figure if you own anything with teeth, snake or not, you're just gonna get bit one day LOL. Good hot water, soap and a bit of a scrub up, then a nice layer of triple antibiotic cream (neosporin or the like) and you're good to go. At least for most bites...really huge snakes...I'm clueless on just how much damage they can inflict bite-wise but I can imagine it's not pretty.

Don't scare me like that! I was enjoying my morning until I read that last sentence. Well...have a nice day.
