what size container should i buy for a female ball pythong.. the demensions please. I found one that is 17-3/4" x 28-1/2" x 6-1/2" h . Is that a good size or shouuld i go smaller

how big is your snake? 6-15 qt for babies, 15-32 qt for juvies/sub-adults, 32qt-?? for adults.

tubs don't cost that much, personally i'd go with a small tub 12-15 qt. then around 500 grams move up to a 32qt the 32 will last a long time or forever. babies need security and stability.

i personally like tubs, easier to heat ,humidify,clean and replace. 10 gal. will do a baby fine.

This set up does not require a light. The temps are easily maintained just the way that they are. They get plenty of day time light.
