Re: Jo the Reluctant Snow Bunny!
Jo, send some of that pretty snow down here to Atlanta. We haven't had a good snow in a few years (I like one good snow a year). We're having COLD steady rain today. Fun stuff when I'm indoors with two dogs that are going stir crazy. No dog park today. :(
Re: Jo the Reluctant Snow Bunny!
You're right "FREE" is always a good thing:D. (Don't mean to highjack Jo)...
What I have is OVERKILL, but I don't care. I'm actually taking a break from weather proofing the living room windows. Nice draft coming in. So, its back to work for me (got a funky look from the slave driverrr, umm wife);)
Stay warm and keep the boids cooling:cool:
Re: Jo the Reluctant Snow Bunny!
Meanwhile, in Phoenix, we'd kill for a little rain! :worry: And I'm with Cassandra. What is this snow of which you speak ;)

COOOOOL! So where can < I > get one or two? of these little doohickies????? My neighborhood is notorious for power outtages because of wind storms, and I'd hate to think that my babies will become snake-cicles before I can come up with a backup plan. Any suggestions??? I don't have the money, and since I'm renting a very small house, any room for any sort of gas / LP generator.
Can some1 help with ideas???? lol I figure if worse case scenario...putting them in pillow cases w/me in bed under the comforter w/the cats. :P Unless I'm at work when it happens. :(
Re: Jo the Reluctant Snow Bunny!
Sweety you need to add up ALL TOTAL watts being used for warming devices. Once you have that number multiply it by 2 (this gives you extra room as far as time is concerned). Seems like Robin and I lucked out on the price, these things can be picked up in any store that sells PC's and electronics.
During the winter we tend to loose power more often than I care to and the housing boom in my area just adds salt to the injury.
After all of my hard work I just heard "Honey, I feel a draft right here". Geeeez, it's back to work for me. Later gaters!!!:)
