My snake room is rather humble right now. Check back with me in a few months, I imagine the picture will be quite different.

I think all of you guys have very nice looking snake rooms :) However, I see only one hide in some of the tanks and do not see any hides in others :P If I seem to be a little uptight about this, I'm sorry and hopefully will not get kicked in the teeth for voicing this concern :picknose: :D

I have found that the racks create a hide by their nature, albeit not as secure as a small hide. The two hide recommendation is usually for the typical glass aquarium where the snake is fully exposed. I know of one large breeder that doesn't use hides for any of his snakes.

I think I remember reading in one of Adam's posts that he provides hides for some snakes as they seem to want more security, but others are fine just in their tubs in the racking system.

Am I remembering that correctly? =)

Well ....... hmm ....... I have my ball in the pic with the upside down flower pot ........ the screen is my chams custom cage i made....... sand tank holds my leo pair ........the rubbermaid with the screen top has a amelanistic corn ........ and i have two acrylics like that but the pic of the acrylic is empty waiting for a gtp i will be getting soon ...... and the other has poision darts....... my large tank not pictured for another ball is in a past post ...... i'll post new pics whn i get my green tree.......edit: and the sterilite holds the various feeders

These are our Melamine cages, these are about 5-6yrs old, cost us $900 total w/heating & lighting to build and still look and work as new. Hopefully we'll be able to replace these with Boaphile cages soon. In the same floorspace we have 9 = 4X2X15 cages, we hope to place 15 = 4X2X12 Boaphiles w/stands.
