    If you're really that interested in snakes why don't you seriously consider studying herpology and take some courses if offered so your mother can see your interest shows potential even if you don't become a herpologist, biologist, etc... you may take up veterinary or work at your zoo, or local pet shop. This would show potential to your mother, and also might get you into an advancing career so you can make money and the only one to question anything would be you and your reptiles.

    Just a thought, intended to be helpful not intruding or offensive.

    Now if I could only convince my wife to let me have more snakes! I have three already but I'm working on her.:) Well maybe she is afriad of my next snake I want. A Burmese Python:headbang:
