Rosie is looking stunning as always! You're doing such a great job with her Brandon.

You know Judy I had no real interest in columbian boa's till we fostered Ruari, the male BCI that is going to his forever home with Becky come spring. He's a good size fella, around 5 and a half to 6 feet and heavy bodied but goodness what an absolutely laid back snake! Never a problem, eats anything offered in any form offered, husbandry is not difficult and he's an easy shedder. Sure you have to be prepared to deal with a larger snake as far as housing, safe handling, food source, etc. - that's only smart and reasonable. All in all though, I'm quite taken with Columbians now. Rauri and my husband Mike watch hockey together all the time LOL.

We are actually adopting a young one from another forum member once Rauri is off to Texas.

Oh I would LOVE to have a BCI. (And BCC's someday) But the ball python is pushing it for length/size that my hubby is willing to tolerate in the house. And since I can only have one more snake for the time being, I gotta go with the one that really tugs at my heart. But BCI is likely to be my next snake....someday. They're really awesome.

I think it might have been Sheree you meant to direct the thoughts to, but I ran with 'em anyhow. :P

LOL Thanks for catching that Judy, it was meant in response to Sheree's post! My 4 year old decided sleep was optional last night so between that and a too high concentration of caffiene in my bloodstream I'm a tad loopy today!

Just how many times can a small human being have to pee in one night! Jeesh! Worse than a dog in a field of fire hydrants I swear!

Gorgeous snake and lovely tail - I'm really into RTBs now and hope to get one (Suriname) myself this year. And, Judy, my husband would definitely sympathize with yours, before we got our little BP he hated snakes (still doesn't like them actually) and said NOT ONE would ever enter his house ... but I think he's kinda given up protesting now coz he's hardly said a word when I mention I'm getting another ...

I think I need to go hug my hubby, Mike (though he'd kill me for getting between the Red Wings game and him right now LOL). I'm so lucky to share this fascination with snakes with him. 3 out of our 4 kids are into snakes too...the youngest just sighes and says "yes mommy, but I REALLY wanted a puppy!"

Thanks :) I dont know if she will get as big a star.....maybe. like i said before, star is a mixed breed boa, so you cant really tell. Star used to eat rabbitts but got switched back to rats, shes doing just fine with a couple of those.

Rosies mom is almost 7 foot so im thinking she should be somewhere around thier at her adult size, but you never know, she could be bigger or smaller, i dont plan on putting her on the fast track to gigantic size,Im just gonna keep her on her nice steady feeding shedule of adult mice for a while, i dont plan on pumping her full of rat just yet. My local breeder looked at her and said i might wanna switch her to rats, but the mice are leaving a lump so they are fine for now, i dont see any reason to feed her rats until the adult mice become to small.
