Raising Second Generation Breeders

ha ha, i totally did that with my poor momma too! it was her first litter and the first time i'd ever had a rat have a litter and i thought she was doing a bad job not keeping all the babies in the nest! i kept moving them back together only to find them separated again. now she's a little special too, a poor little rattie from the rat factory behind the local herp shop... another of my rats gave birth last week though and she's been doing the same thing but she will bite the fire out of you if you mess with her babies--so i left them alone and watched her for a while and figured out what she was doing. aren't we humans stupid sometimes! they have it all figured out and we come in and mess things all up!
