The reason it's a small one now is that I have recently switched to disposable water dishes. They are much cleaner that way, and I only have the small size right now. I ordered bigger ones, but they haven't arrived yet. Soon as they come, she'll have one!

    EGADS!

How long until you pop her in a bigger tub? Do you have cross-ventilation holes on that puppy?

I know what you mean about the musking, thrashing and bolting. Lilith (fuscus) does that EVERY SINGLE TIME - all that - she's never been a calm chick. Neph will sometimes get a little spooked and decide she'd like to be anywhere but near and make a mess on whoever's near. I know that drill all too well! (she ate our king breeder rat this weekend hah).

I've had to take to using meduim cat pans for water sources due to the proclivity to go splash around in it.

As soon as I can afford a second 3' tub rack, her and Harry are going in it!

I don't have cross-ventilation because if I put any more holes in that tub, the humidity will be shot. (I hate winter)

BTW.. the angle of that pic makes the tub look smaller than it is. She's really not squished in that tub.

I hear ya - keeping the space heated is taxing on the humidity!

Top holes are harsh on lettign humidity bleed out as well though - I think I have only 2 that size on the top of the blood enclosures and the rest distributed around the sides. It's gotten so dry lately I have switched the bloods from newsprint to sphagnum (which I've now run out of) :(

Yeah.. I now know that about the holes. I set up those tubs a long time ago. Eventually everyone will be in racks/boaphiles and it won't be a problem anymore.

I hate to say it, but that tub looks very tiny. There doesn't look to be any open floor space. Shouldn't you get that rack ordered, before you continue to add to your collection? Plus, what is that thing on top of one of the hides?

The thing on top is a weight because the hide is light and she moves it around if it's not on there.

I have bigger tubs if needed, but again the tub isn't as small as it looks in the picture. She spends 99% of her time in her hide anyway.

Walmart carries them right now, they are x-mas tree storage boxes and are a fraction of the cost than reptile tubs..and the same thing... less than $20.
