Pink belly

Thanks, I'll try not to freak out too much =P I'm probably stressing over it more than he is!

I would not worry too much either. Snakes want to be as alone as possible when shedding. Its a vulnerable time for them so they like to be by themselves. Give him a week, sometimes it will take 3 or so days for the pink to go away and then they get all cloudy like and you will see a shed within 2 days.

While this may not be a problem, keep a close eye on this snake. A pink belly could mean that he is getting thermal burns from possibly a UTH with no thermostat( if not checked they can get up to 120 degrees). This is waht happened to my snake and the pink was a sign that something was wrong. It was a terrible time because it can be fatel if not treated and fixed properly.

It probably is shed. A'Kashja stays in her hide a lot, but with her head out. When she retreats in there where you can't see her at all, I know something is wrong or she's in shed. So far its always been in shed and nothing wrong. A'Kashja is in shed now. Just make sure to up your humidity during this time to about 70% and in a few days she'll leave you a some outgrown skin.
