Quick question....we fed him a hopper but we think it was too small....like he could have had another....but that's what the store told us to give him. Would it be okay to try to feed him another one tomorrow or should we just wait until feeding next week?

Lori, there's no harm in waiting until next week ... keep that routine going like we talked about and next time just use a bigger mouse.

Yeah I was debating on what to do...especially since I'm taking hiim to the vet on Monday...don't want hiim to stress out more, etc. I had serious doubts about him eating....but he was on it like nobody's business!!! And then he came out of his hide later on and just cruised the cage for awhile which he never did at all this week. So I'm feeling much better about everything now....my son is disappointed because he has been dying to hold him all week and now I'm saying he has to wait a few more days. Poor kid acts like he's gonna die from the anticipation...LOL.

Congrats! Now send some of those good feeding vibes over to my house! I've had a week of newspapers in the enclosure and close eye on the temps to get Kashmire's feeding response back and will be offering him a mouse tomorrow.

Oh congrats Lori on the successful first feeding! We still get a thrill each week when the snakes we have hit fast and hard and worry over the ones that are off schedule in any way.

When it comes to live feeding definitely follow Adam's wisdom. We've got all of our snakes (balls and boa, only the milk eats f/t) on live feeds and we follow his advice there faithfully and it's working beautifully for us. Thanks Adam! Which reminds me I need to get some new pics and post them of the 100% het for albino male from 8Ball. Little bugger is an amazing feeder and weighed 290 grams empty last week!

Nothing better than a healthy baby ball that loves his dinner! LOL

This is late, but CONGRATS! My poor sick Duchess has been eating too - one mouse last week and one yesterday - so I'm happy too! She hadn't eaten in two months before that.
