do you think he would be able to find it? i know one time vanessa couldnt find her rat because when she was constricting it, it got under the newspaper somehow and she was looking for it frantically(it even had some of its body sticking out). i finally had to pull the rat out from under the newspaper so she could see it. there would be TONS of hiding places where the rat could go in zulus cage.

I'm sure it is a lot easier for them to find a rodent in a cage than it is on the plains of Africa. ;)
If you're going to feed rats, I always suggest nothing larger than a small.

You clean their cages after they eat? I usually try not to disturb them for at least a couple of days after they eat.
