    i could make 2 holes at the bottom of the container and put plastic ties to secure the probe horizonatly on the floor of the container, right under the UTH? you think that will do the trick because i dont really trust tape.

    are you saying to tape it inside the enclosure on them, or under the enclosure on the "bottem" of the UTH's?

    Tape it directly to the UTH.

    All of my t-stats are foil taped directly to the heat tape. My t-stat temps are 105 in my herp room, and 108 in my office which is kept at 75 all the time, that translates to 93 degrees in the hot spots and 83 in the cool sides with an ambient at right around 86. It's really more realiable to tape directly to the UTH.. plus you don't have to worry about your new pet doing any "redecorating" :)
