Funny thing is.. the one thing I wanted to get there, no one had. I wanted a greenbottle blue tarantula. I considered a cobalt blue, but I didn't really want to spend $40 on a horridly aggressive pet hole. :)

Next time.. the greenbottle blue is mine!

Running out of money is the most effective way not to spend ;) I adore kingsnakes, so lovely :) The vinegaroon is a trip! What a neat little dude! I think he'd give my Mom a heart attack though, lol.

Yes they do keep me busy, Vaughn.. I love it!

And thanks for the compliment on the pic there.. photoshop is fun!

Joe - who is it? I know Botar by 8s has some, but they weren't at the swap this time. I asked everyone who had tarantulas there if they had any, but no one did.

Yeah, I think if my GBB ends up being a male, I will probably end up giving him to The Theraphosid Breeding Project (aka Bruce and Bill to the locals) for breeding loan.

It was nice to meet Shelby, although I was trying to find a guy I was supposed to give a tarantula to at the time.

I left with a Costa Rican Tiger Rump Tarnatula, an Usumbara Baboon Tarnatula, and this little guy.

Thanks. It will probably be awhile before I can go to the swap again, as unfortunately it is hard for me to get weekend days off. Anyone know how much it normally costs to ship a tarantula?

Swift Invert's quotes shipping through DHL express is $30. (and when you order with him, he always sends a free invert). I'd guess it's about in that price range. I've shipped a few overnight but I've had to use bigger insulated boxes, since I only have one size. If you're planning to use botar, I have no idea how much it costs, since I know he's not using DHL anymore, since they lost his shipment of singapore blues. :O

    Swift's site. http://www.swiftinverts.com/

I generally buy a lot of stuff from botar, instead of some of the other online inverts dealers, but I don't have to pay shipping costs, since he goes to the swap.
