If it's more convenient for you to do it every other week, and it works for your bp then go for it! :D

i know i've read here that some people choose to feed mice rather than rats (because of cost) and so they feed two mice per feeding... what i'm wondering, and what i think you are as well... is does your snake NEED two full grown mice at a feeding or would one full grown mouse per feeding (every two weeks) be sufficient...
anyone???

I have two ball pythons that both measure about 21" long. (Seperate cages) I feed them either a rat pup or a big mouse every Tuesday. They know when feeding day is!!! I am very lucky they are both really good eaters...they will even eat when their eyes are blue from being in shed.

I don't know of anyone that chooses to feed mice over rats due to cost issues??? For me and other big breeders that I know, it has everything to do with what the snake will eat and what is available.
I have some adult males that are well over 1000 grams that eat one large mouse per week.
It depends on the snake. There is no one set of "instructions" that work for every single ball python .... they are all different.
