Hiding/ curled up in corner

There are a few concerns visible to me.

The most glaring are the 360 degree viewing windows in the cage. I'd cover the back and sides to add some security. The snake has very little privacy even with a hide.

As mentioned a smaller hide would also be a good idea, add a few and a little plant clutter.

It is a very typical sign of stress when a snake retreats to a back corner of a cage and curls tightly. We are all aware they like smaller, tight places but your setup has extremely limited options.

The room is bright and the cage isn't private. You can easily fix that by covering the sides.

I don't have any pictures of the glass tank readily available but I used a jungle picture background on the back and sides and then used thin, foil-like insulation behind that, and under the tank as well.

The changes you made may seem minor, but the snake senses something different and likely doesn't feel secure enough to adapt to things just yet.

If that snake is younger, it is even more crucial that you make things a little more private.

Not the end of the world, it is actually an easy fix.

I cover the backs & sides of many of my glass tanks too- depending on the occupants. I like to buy & install scenery first, then I might also insulate behind that (poster board with foam core is very effective & easy to install, as is just corrugated cardboard- or you can use other materials too- sheet cork, carpet tiles, plastic bubble sheets, thin plywood, or even sheet styro-foam) & if you use scenery or wallpaper, you won't see the "insulation" but it will help keep the warmth in & your snake cozy. Many things work- ;)

I asked similar questions on various boards when I started out.

You'll get good advice here when you ask genuine questions.

Cover the back and sides. More brush, moss and sticks to climb around.
