In rechecking my way of naming pet reptiles - I find that I often tend to name my pet reptiles based on characters/people from TV and movies. With only two named based on their physical morphs or coloration - those being Ivory & Iris.

So here are a few characters names which I think could make good names.

Nozuki - giant flying serpents which lost to Kong, in Godzilla vs. Kong. Also, a female name in Japanese meaning "calm, beautiful moon".

Manda - a giant sea serpent kaiju from Godzilla: Final Wars & Destroy All Monsters.

Karai - a female snake ally of the Turtles, in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle series.

Khaleesi - Daenerys' Dothraki title from Game of Thrones series, basically means "Queen".

Of these, I like Karai the best.

I like any & all of these ideas better than names that pass for human names. These are all great choices, IMO. :gj:

I like Augusta best. The connection with the peach variety tying it to her color and the month tying it to when you got her is great. Plus, it's a very distinguished name. Augusta/Augustus was a Roman honorific title meaning "venerable" or "revered" and used as a title for Roman emperors and empresses. I'd probably prefer it for a Boa Imperator though, since "imperator" was also a Roman imperial title.
I agree that - Augusta(female) would definitely be better used for a Boa imperator - especially if paired with a name like Caesar(male). So, I may just keep that in reserve - if I get another pair of Boa Imperators (like Nicaraguans).

In looking at the last 4 names I suggested and considering the possibility that one day I may get a male to pair with her. I think Karai & Khaleesi have the best potential. With Khaleesi - the male names could be Khal or Drogo. With Karai - there is of course various versions of the turtles' names.

You might be overthinking this just a wee bit- she'll never answer to ANY of these anyway. :D

I think that I may go with naming her Leesi - as a short version of Khaleesi.
