Thanks for the encouraging words but I'm a girl lol If someone asked for me to care for their snake the wrong way than I wouldn't. But I think out of respect for the person I wouldn't even take the snake. It's kind of like you see a reptile in a pet store and although you feel bad for it, you punish the owners by not purchasing it. I guess thats still controversial.

It's hard. There's a place down the street that has these three adult BPs... and they're not in very good shape at all. One has a couple retained sheds, and the others look skinny and terrible. But, though I want to, I can't buy them. I can't support them. I'm sure these guys are wild imports, and I just won't do that.

I walked into the store and walked right back out again, knowing that if I stayed any longer, I was going to take all three of them home.

I hope things work out with you and your teacher. It's hard when people of authority are wrong but don't think they are. Opinions are such nasty things sometimes. Don't let it ruin your relationship with him. Just because he doesn't know anything about snakes, doesn't mean he doesn't know anything at all ;)

P.S. Who cares if you're "babying" your snake???? He's your baby! I'd have told him that :P
