89 is a bit hot for breeding season but I wouldn't think its quite enough to make her hang out all the way at the cool side unless there just isn't enough gradient for her. Is it possible she either reabsorbed or isn't quite as far along as you think? Did you catch her in ovulation?

What temp do you keep the hotside? I kept at 89 because alot of the articles I read said they didn't lower hot side temps

I don't do this year round, but I keep the hot spot no more than 86 during breeding season. Many people leave their temps the same year round, but the female's movement behavior with thermoregulating is probably different for people who do vs ones that don't, so that's why I ask.

Yes I've read that lowering Temps would help with follicle growth. Only issue I had was the bottom of my rack when I have it set to 89 the last tub is probably 86 so if I lower to 86 I might get 83 or lower on that last tub. Waiting till my season is over and I'm going to elevate my rack some to keep it off the floor

Some variation in a rack is to be expected. What I would do unless your rack is unstable and needs extra weight at the bottom is keep your females that are building-laying towards the top so they get less slugs, and males and younger females won't mind the 89 so much :)

Edit- if I misunderstood and the bottom is the cooler (should be) do the reverse of that and have females who are breeding at the bottom
