Hey Matt.. how does the watering system work with that thing? I'm thinking about switching over to rodent racks sometime soon.

It works perfectly.. You can take everythign apart and clean almost every inch of the nozzles and the connect on the 5 gallon bucket.. Best part is you dont have to fool with filling small water bottles every freakin day..lol

Yeah...but just wait till your first flood on a full bucket! ;)

We patch water right off of our rodent room sink lines to manage our racks...sucks when one of those gets jammed...easy way to lose half a rack, or more if you don't get there in time.

Double & triple-check your rodents every day. You'll be glad you did!

Do the valves get clogged often? We have hard water.. is it usually mineral deposits, or bedding stuffed in there by the rodents?

Well the valves are on top on this model.. I would say as long as you clean the screens you would be fine on that aspect.. But the pins are moved pretty effortlessley so if something was stuck in there it would continue to drip..

    1. Bedding.

    2. The valve being pushed up out of the box to the point where it catches on the screen & is stuck "on" with water dripping constantly.

    3. Loose rodents = chewed lines.

Those are the big 3 flood causes around here. They all suck, but replacing chewed lines is frustrating to boot.
