Sounds identical to me! It’s 68-69 during summer. I have to close my ac vent downstairs or it will be too cold. I have insulation on all sides of the tank but and bumped it up a little from before

That’s what my breeder told me as well. 78-79 ambient temps is what he has his at. Then I look online and watch YouTube and you get thousands of different temps. I hear 78 is way too cold and keep it at 82 and blah blah blah. It’s so confusing cause everyone’s different

What’s considered too low of an ambient temp? 75?

I have been keeping mine like they are for many years. I have several snakes that prefer lower temps so I am not worried about my Ball at those same temps, low 70s. She has a UTH so her heat is always available.

Personally anything under 71 for me is too low. 75 is what I shoot for but a few degrees either direction doesn't worry me. You can see that I have a diverse group so I have to make many snakes happy. So far what I do works great.
