I would ditch the heat lamp and get a heat pad/reptile basics has heat tape that works great. Dont get zoo med head pads they break in a month lol. You could put a bed sheet over the tank and that will make the humidity and temperature maintain very nicely plus it will add a little more security to your ball python since they like to not have see thru enclosures.
