Thanks Christie, we truly love this lil house and will miss it when we have to move to something bigger. The lady that owns it (she's related to us by marriage) is in her 60's and this house was built by hand by both her maternal and paternal grandfathers so it's a pretty old sturdy place. It's had a small addition put on the back, updated windows (tho the old ones were retained as decorative), the old stone porch has been closed in and the bathroom updated. Other than that it's basically unchanged.
I wish we could buy it and add on to it (keeping to it's look of course) but it's a family treasure so will likely never see the market. As well, when it was built it was in the forest, now this area of the lake is a highly sought after area so the prices have skyrocketed far out of our range I would imagine.

Re: Neat Xmas Gift Idea
i'm hoping for a native drum for christmas... so i can do some drum stirring at my meditation group while everyone else plays the tibetan bowls and our rain stick!
ah, what a great sound it makes and the best part is,... you don't need ANY musical talent to sound good!
LOL cause i have no musical talent at all...
so here's hoping i get mine... wouldn't mind painting a bp on my drum... hmmmmm
