    Oh no ... eggs would never make it from africa to the US ... typically gravid females are collected in the wild and set up in boxes on the "farms" in africa ... once they deposit their eggs, the females are released to the same location they were collected from and their eggs are incubated right there on the "farms". Once the eggs start hatching, the babies are bagged up and exported before they had their first shed, meal, or even exposure to water in most cases. These babies are referred to as "captive hatched" in the trade and based on the numbers exported each year that aren't eaten, account for probably 9 out of every 10 ball pythons in captivity (and that estimate is probably low).
