Mites Ticks And Popeye

$250.00 for a vet visit? Was this for a full treatment or something? Did they itemize for you....that seems excessive. I know my vet gives me a really good discount but still that's just....ouch! Is that the norm folks for a vet visit per snake for treatment of mites?

An office visit is NOT going to be $250. $50 maybe, but NOT $250. I'd look for another vet. Mine is $50, but he only charges me $15 for an office visit.

Yeah, i know.. That does sound ridiculous that's why i shopped around some more and the lowest one i've found is $60 a visit for each snake. Not bad at all. That's less than taking my dog to the vet.

Again I think I need to go hug my herp vet LOL. I think the office visit base for a snake is like $20.00 which includes a hands on exam and weighing, $23.00 for a fecal float, $20.00 for sexing. Even before she started giving me the discount, she saw two of our snakes, examined them and sexed them (no fecal that time) and I was out the door with a bill for both snakes for $31.00 total.
